On 13 January, the “Soirée des Rois” was celebrated. The Salle Henri Renevey was once again decked out in its finest finery. Dimmed lights, throngs of guests and tablecloths.

Every Soirée des Rois is unique and special. It’s a time for musicians to reunite between seasons. On this evening, the Landwehr takes the opportunity to celebrate deserving musicians, those who are making their way up the ranks and those whose diligence is more than just loyalty but devotion. Indeed, it’s not just the dummy, which seems to be a recurring theme but which, incidentally, everyone is free to eat, but also the tongue and pigs’ feet (which are also optional).

Our President presented to the audience the events of this year 2023 and announced those to come. He also took the opportunity to greet a few musicians and special guests, in particular Mr Michel Mayor, our surprise guest for the evening Michel Mayor is a Swiss astrophysicist. He has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2019.

After the official part of the evening, the night of the Kings began in the bar of La Couronne and ended, for some, at first light.
